There are talented young musicians in the Group’s cast, created in 1998. “Jankoy Brothers” perform “smooth jazz”, “funk”, “fusion”, “soul”, “R & B” and “Latino” music. Among their repertoire there are as world-famous hits, as pieces by M.Kochetov, A.Buryko, O.Popov, D.Poeta. Musicians perform mostly in clubs, and sometimes play solo concerts, as in Ivano-Frankovsk (2001), Uzghorod (2002), or at a Memory day of Volodymyr Symonenko (2000-2001). One of Group’s leaders, a saxophonist Maksim Kochetov became a laureate of young jazz saxophonists’ competition in Lithuania (2000). M.Kochetov and M.Malyshev frequently work with other ensembles. Among other partners of the Group there are: the “Unity”, a bass-guitarist Igor Zakus and a keyboard player Pavlo Shepeta. “Jankoy Brothers” was recognised to be the best jazz group on the Second young performers’ competition “DoDj” in Donetsk (2002).
