Born in 1949

A pianist, keyboard player, flutist, composer and arranger. Volodymyr was born in Zaporij’ya, where he had been playing piano since 6 years old. He graduated a musical school as a accordionist (1973), and then the Arts’ institute as a flutist (1982). Volodymyr was a participator of numerous festivals in Ukraine and Russia and an author of a big amount of jazz pieces. Since 1992 he had been living in the USA and creating music, performing and recording with famous jazz musicians, such as Steve Erquiaga (guitar) and Oleksandr Myhaylenko (guitar and keyboards). In 1999 Volodymyr came back to Ukraine, and since that has been living and working in Kiev. A considerable popularity in Ukraine’s jazz radio air received his ballad “Forget”. Nowadays Volodymyr collaborates with famous Ukrainian musicians such as Natalya Lebedeva, Andriy Arnautov, Olga Voychenko, Volodymr Solyanik, Sergiy Rybalkin, etc. Also Volodymyr Zinkovskiy was a participator of the “Art Ensemble” group (2002).
