Born in 1970
A jazz guitarist and composer. Volodymyr was a graduate of Kyiv music secondary school named by Glier (1998). He considers himself to be Sergey Ovsyannikov’s disciple. Volodymyr was among the leaders of a famous Kyiv group “Overtime” (1999), consisted of well-known young jazz musicians – Sergiy Didenko (keyboard), Igor Zakus (bass-guitar), Maksim Kochetov (saxophone), Oleksiy Makarevich (drums). He was a participant of the “New string quartet” leaded by Sergiy Ovsyannikov, together with Maksim Glyadetskiy (bass-guitar) and Sergiy Tabunshik (drums), in 2000-2001. In 2000-2003 Volodymyr was collaborating with the group “Nigth Groove”. Also he is a leader of several jazz projects and a participant of a famous “Guitar project” with Myhaylo Ban’kovskiy and Serhiy Ovsyannikov (2001). From time to time Volodymyr performs with blues groups (2000-2002). Since the beginning of 2003 he has been playing in a group of a violinist Sergiy Ohrymchuk and in the “Skhid-Side” group. Volodymyr Lihoshva is an author of several well-known jazz pieces. Discography:
